Sail Away

"I say It's all about the experience"
To be wed on a yacht is a wonderful memory to make"

Amazing sunsets, 360 degrees view of the city, crisp blue skies are just few of the
many reasons you might want to consider this option. The fleeting thought of having
a wedding on a boat is exciting; an experience that is very appealing to couples.
It's all what you dream and more.
It's the epitome of romance where you hold hands and look
into the horizon and dream of your futures together.
Seems a little corny, but its not.
Take it from someone who has been on many cruises.

To dig a little deeper into details, based on your guest list, you can choose a boat and
have an intimate wedding where you can exchange vows in the presence of your family
or choose a luxurious yacht, invite 300 of your closest friends and have a gala
celebration. Most boats come equipped with a bar, seating arrangements,
ceremony and reception areas, and a dance floor.
There are a lot of yachts and boats out there that can complement your personality.
You can even transport your guests to the Victorian Era... or have a simple wedding.

The options are endless when you think about it and without a doubt it will
exceed your expectation by leaps and bounds.

Getting married on water has its own benefits. Having a wedding on a yacht
or boat is truly a luxury. You not only want your family and friends
to be a part of your special moment but also want them to enjoy it right?
So giving your guests an experience they won't forget is a luxury in itself.
Picturesque 360 degrees views, birds flying back home and sunset
bouncing of the tall sky scrapers- I can go on and on...

When it comes to decor, all you would need is eye catching statement pieces
be it floral or lounge furniture and you are set. For your reception you can choose
from finger foods to cake shooters which are perfect for a brunch or have a
exquisite feast while you watch the crisp blue waters and the blanket of the stars.
I call it "Dancing with the Stars".
Depending the time of the year and location, and f your lucky,
you can also see a school of dolphins swim by your boat.

To sum it all up- "I believe it's all about the experience!"

Tip: Before just diving into the idea, go on a simple dinner cruise to see how you feel
about the experience. Furthermore, if you have motion sickness
I would not recommend this for you!"

Janet and Dan's Wedding at The Crossing

We had a wonderful time designing this wedding
for Janet and Dan at The Crossing.
Janet carried a bouquet with exquisite cymbidium orchids and roses
which we embellished with a beautiful ribbon.
The elegant ceremony was on the beautiful lawn with 2 lush
arrangements full of roses and orchids.
The reception continued with bright hot pink roses,
lovely long orchids and elegant hydrangea blooms.
The sweet heart was adorned with a signature
designed floral with clusters of roses blooming out
and cascaded with orchids.
Thank you Cecilia(Dan's mom) for letting me apart of
another celebration in your family.

Bright Pave Style Centerpiece

Pave is one of the most exquisite styles
that you can incorporate in your event.
And more over it will go with any theme you select,
be it a classic elegant white wedding or a bright and
vibrant table setting like this one we put together.
We used vibrant color roses like red, pink, yellow and paired them
with one of our blush pink linens and exquisite gold lace.
We wanted to make this setting rich and opulent so we paired
the floral with some lovely floral print plates and gold flatware!

A perfect way to start of this week!

The bouquet that Jamie carried is to die for.
Purple vanda orchids makes this bouquet exquisite.
A combination of lavender roses, fluffy hydrangea blooms
and purple tulips were used in the arrangements.
We made a cake riser for that was fully blinged out.

Jamie and Graham and we wish them a wonderful
married life.
Thanks to Marlo Yoshimoto Photography for the
wonderful images.!!!

Jamie and Graham's Wedding Part 2

In today's post you see the one person that is allowed to
steal the show apart from the bride,
the cute and adorable flower girl.
And she surly know's how to accessorize.
We made her a beautiful clutch with orchids.
How Fancy!
The ceremony in the courtyard had our 2 signature sky scrapper
arrangements full with lush florals, standing tall and beautiful.

Gold, Godiva & Gardenia

How simple and elegant is this table setting!
It has the 3 things I love the most, Gold, Godiva and Gardenias.
For a romantic night, these 3 are very essential.
The aroma of simple floating gardenias is divine!
Now how can you go wrong with this?

Goth

Black Lace, parasol covered with lace, mercury glasses,
bird cages, feathers, black lanterns
bring this goth inspiration together.
A rich combination of lavender roses, purple hydrangea blooms,
plum calla lilies and black ostrich plums in a rustic jewelry box with
a parasol just evokes the Edwardian era.
The black and white images just embodies the Edwardian
over the top yet classic goth glamour.
It is one of a kind but design that you to totally pull of for your event.
Happy Friday the 13th.

Peonies at The Prado

Hot pink peonies in summer are such a delight,

perfect for a ceremony. Don't you agree?

which was so elegant and beautiful!
All in all, a wonderful wedding to design
We wish David and Belle a wonderful married life together!

Gabriel & Mica's Wedding

Another vibrant wedding with coral, soft pink and oranges.
Mica carried a vibrant bouquet which was wrapped with beautiful gold lace.
I was totally amazed at how the colors complimented each other.
Full open roses were used for the manzanita trees which was
individually opened petal by petal, rose by rose and
beautiful tera stone urns were used for the ceremony.
The reception had individual escort cards which I was
totally in love with. It was wonderful to design this wedding for
you Mica and Gabriel and we wish you a happy married
life together!

William & Lindsey's wedding at El Cortez

Beautiful blush pink flowers with gold accents are the colors that
Lindsay wanted to incorporate in her wedding at the El Cortez.
Lindsay carried an all blush pink rose bouquet embellished with
beautiful broaches. Tall beautiful gold candelabra's were used
with lush pink roses, white hydrangeas and
hanging crystals which was very elegant and beautiful.
It was wonderful to design this wedding for Lindsay and William and

Feist your eyes on some color

A huge inspiration for this setting came from
the middle east and beautiful places like India, Morocco, Marrakesh,
and where inspiration and color is in abundance.

We incorporated a beautiful silk overlay which is from India.
The infamous hookah paired with hot pink peonies, vanda orchids
and full open roses are just exquisite!
Multicolor votive, tassels, teapot and a lot more
details were used on this table setting.

Exquisite pair of"Juti"(Indian shoes) were flown in from India for this.
In a couple of weeks you will see more of these infamous "Juti's"
which are being flown in from India as I am writing this post!

PS: You get a sneak peek of "Arturo" as a Sultan.
A whole new post is scheduled for this, keep Reading!

Organic Table Setting

This design that we put together is organic and dramatic.
We used drift wood, and elevated them on clear acrylic pedestals.
The wood was adorned with orchids, moss, bluperium and
calla lilies that were just flowing on the drift wood.
We used burlap linen which pulls it all together.
I hope this table setting inspires
you for your next event!

Blue Bouquet

Blue Roses, stephanotis, and blue orchids
wrapped with a rich gold lace fabric were
used to make this all blue rich bouquet.
If you want to walk down with something blue
and blue is your favorite color, this bouquet is a perfect choice.

Peonies, Paris and Couture.

France, Paris and Fashion.
What comes to one's mind when you think of France?
For me it is the French Country, Paris and the Haute Couture!
To embody the french country we used vintage travel boxes
with lilac and peonies while the Eiffel Tower was adorned with
hydrangea blooms and beautiful soft pink peonies.
And Ladies this is for you, what better could represent
Haute Couture than a beautiful cake topper.
See for yourself and just imagine!

Warning: We are trying our 200% to promote shoe addiction.
